Mohamed Allalou, B.Eng

Chief Executive Officer

Mohamed Allalou is a dedicated Security Professional who draws on his diverse knowledge and disciplined learning approach to fortify organizations against unprecedented and intricate cyber threats.

He began his career with a degree in Computer Engineering from Concordia University. In 2022, he joined the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), where he is still an active member. Currently, Mohamed is pursuing his CISSP.

Before founding Arctic Shield, Mohamed amassed a small yet diverse portfolio of technical experiences, from research assistance in MRI, to full stack development for Via Rail Canada's Technical Services and Engineering department. After seeking advice from mentors, and engaging in self reflection, Mohamed decided to found Arctic Shield and build a cyber security firm that can assist in keeping the internet accessible, reliable, and safe for everyone.

Founding a company is no small matter, and Mohamed Allalou looks forward to the difficult challenges ahead in management, finance, operations, communication, sustainability, and much more. He is always open to receiving advice, insights, and directions to support him in these areas, and is thankful to all of those who want Arctic Shield to succeed.

History

In September 2022, Arctic Shield was established with one goal in mind: to be The Preferred Cybersecurity Consulting Firm in North America. Since then, we have no doubt met our fair share of challenges, but each one was taken head on with a growth mindset that allowed us to define success by what we learnt, knowing that the internet continues to evolve every day.

In August 2023, Arctic Shield proudly served its first paid client. A humble medical clinic in the Toronto area, Seena Health Centre, had experienced a disruption to their fax service that left them unable to send or receive electronic medical records. Our incident response team was on site 2 hours later that very day and worked tirelessly to identify and resolve their problem. Sixteen hours later, a new encrypted fax system had been implemented and the clinic was able to once again send and receive confidential patient information in a reliable and secure fashion.

In December 2023, Arctic shield partnered with a Law firm in the Toronto area to offer a vertically integrated approach to Data Privacy legislation compliance.

In February 2024, Arctic shield expanded its offerings to include expert consultants on-call for PCI compliance, cybersecurity product integration, and Secure Software Development.

In February 2024, Arctic Shield was proud to hire its first employee, a finance specialist, to ensure the long-term sustainability of the company’s financial position.

Currently, Arctic Shield is engaged in discussions with various potential clients to help them with thier GRC needs, specifically as they relate to SOC2, PCI-DSS, and Data Privacy/User Consent.
